Our Story

Hi everyone! We are Leigh Anne and Michael Simpson, the owners of Rugged Timber Ranch. 

We are a first generation farm located in Henry County, Kentucky. With agriculture being lost from both of our families in the previous generation, our love for the outdoors and providing for our family has brought us back to the farm! 

After getting married, We were able to purchase our small farm in 2023. With the dream of having our own place becoming a reality, we decided that it needed to be shared. If we could provide quality food for us and our families, we could provide it for you and your family! 

So we started with our eggs and poultry. We had always had chickens to some extent so that was the best place to start. We currently raise pastured chicken and turkey. We have our eggs from our pasture raised laying hens. Everything is fed with a NON-GMO feed from our local feed mill and moved once daily with our mobile coops. We are currently building up our beef side of the farm and will hopefully have that available in 2026!
